Governor Richardson just put out a statement delaying the start of the special session until Monday, March 1. Legislators asked him for a few more days to try to work out a compromise before coming back to Santa Fe.
We had been hoping to not have to call legislators at home, but since it appears that final deals are being made away from the Roundhouse, it's important that we call them at home. It's especially important that we be very respectful and kind to whoever answers the phone--remember, we're calling into their homes or businesses, and family members or co-workers may answer.
Also, do not call before 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m.
Here are the numbers for that same group of Senators and Representatives that we emailed earlier today, using the numbers that legislators listed in the official legislative directory. The message is NO MORE CUTS, raise revenues, and make revenue permanent, not temporary.
