AFSCME Council 18 is proud to support Ike Benton and Ane Romero because they share our values and are committed to always stand with our working families.

VOTE Councilor Ike Benton for District 2 - Councilor Benton has a long track record of supporting labor and working families in Albuquerque.  He has supported fairness and equity with across the board pay increases for city workers, supports minimum wage increases, supports the Fair Workweek Act/Healthy Workforce Act/Paid Time Off (PTO), supports Project Labor Agreements, and supports strengthening the law to crack down on wage theft in Albuquerque.

Councilor Benton has been unwavering in his support for AFSCME members and all working families and is the right person to represent Council District 2.  We are excited to support such a dedicated public servant fighting for our members at City Hall.

VOTE Ane Romero for District 4 - Ane has built a career around serving her community  and has worked to tackle so many of the issues facing Albuquerque.  She has experience working for Senator Martin Heinrich and most recently worked with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham during the legislative session to help pass legislation that helps workers, including raising the minimum wage, increasing pay for state employees and educators, and pass legislation to stop counties from implementing anti-worker right-to-work laws.

City Council District District 4 is an amazing opportunity for our members.  We have a chance to finally elect a pro-worker candidate and someone that will fight for the hard working men and women that make Albuquerque a great city.
