Sisters and Brothers,
As many of you are aware, over the last eight years, under Susana Martinez and Richard Berry, public employees and the citizens of New Mexico were placed on the back burner in favor of out of state corporate interests and wealthy campaign donors.
Just a few months ago, AFSCME members helped elect Tim Keller as Mayor of Albuquerque, the first step in reversing the failed policies of Richard Berry. Now, we have a chance to reverse the failed policies of Susana Martinez and elect Michelle Lujan Grisham as our next Governor!
AFSCME members from across the state have a chance to not only elect Michelle Lujan Grisham as our next Governor but we also have chance to elect pro-worker candidates up and down the ticket. AFSCME's Statewide PEOPLE Committee voted unanimously to support each of the candidates below. They all have a proven track record of fighting for working families and have made a commitment to ALWAYS put New Mexico first.

Our union will make it a priority to help each of these candidates get elected in 2018. We were able to make real change in Albuquerque, now it is time to make real change for all of New Mexico.
Please make sure to talk to all of your friends, family, and co-workers, and ask them to support AFSCME’s endorsed candidates in 2018. We cannot afford another 8 years of an anti-worker Governor in Santa Fe.
